Job Description
The Emergency Preparedness Program Manager serves as the subject matter expert responsible for the development, creation, implementation and deployment of Emergency Preparedness standards and initiatives to Leadership (system, regional, and local leaders of Interdependent Business Units (IBUs), Networks, and Affiliates) to enable the MultiCare Health System (MHS) to mitigate, prepare, respond, continue clinical/business operations and recover from human and natural borne events using an All-Hazards approach. The Program Manager contributes to the development, execution, testing, and maintenance of emergency response plans, policies, and procedures; creates business impact analysis and risk assessment reports in keeping with policy and regulations; interacts with county, state, & federal agencies when required; communicates status, regulatory activities to Leadership; leads MHS Emergency Preparedness projects and initiatives; and partners with and guides Leadership in implementation of Emergency Preparedness standards.
The nature of work may require presence after-hours, on weekends or during other non-standard shifts as appropriate to meet the needs of an incident or the IBU being supported.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in emergency management or related field
- Completion of following FEMA courses: IS (Independent Study) 100, IS 200, ICS (Incident Command System) 300, ICS 400, IS 700, IS 800
- Following credentials or coursework preferred: Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP)- emergency management; Certified Emergency Manager® (CEM®); Master Exercise Practitioner Program (MEPP) risk management coursework; Associate in Risk Management (ARM) or project management; Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
- Minimum three (3) years Emergency Management experience
- Minimum two (2) years of relevant healthcare or business continuity experience
