Role Overview
Dang Lifestyle is seeking an experienced and highly analytical Data Analyst to support decision-making across marketing, operations, sales, supply chain, and customer experience. This role is critical to driving a data-led culture, improving business performance, and providing actionable insights that guide the company’s growth in Nigeria, the U.S., and other expansion markets.
The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, is comfortable working with large datasets, and can translate complex information into clear insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Collection, Cleaning & Management
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines across sales, marketing, finance, operations, and customer platforms.
- Clean, transform, and validate data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Manage integrations between internal tools (e.g., Zoho, Shopify, marketing dashboards).
- Develop automated reporting frameworks to reduce manual work.
2. Data Analysis & Insights
- Analyse sales performance, customer behaviour, product trends, and marketing KPIs.
- Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports with clear insights and recommendations.
- Conduct pricing, cohort, retention, and inventory analyses to support growth initiatives.
- Support forecasting models for sales, demand, and inventory.
3. Dashboard & Reporting
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio).
- Build performance dashboards for marketing, sales, and operations.
- Ensure leadership has real-time access to critical business metrics.
4. Business Performance & Decision Support
- Work with the Growth & Strategy Lead to analyse campaign performance and allocate budget effectively.
- Partner with Operations to improve fulfilment efficiency, delivery timelines, and stock accuracy.
5. Experimentation & Optimization
- Design and evaluate A/B tests for marketing and product optimization.
- Identify bottlenecks and opportunities in customer journeys, conversion funnels, and retention cycles.
- Recommend actions based on data to drive growth and efficiency.
RequirementsTechnical Skills
- 3–5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, and at least one BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio).
- Experience with data cleaning and transformation tools (Python/Pandas is a plus).
- Ability to work with e-commerce or retail datasets is highly preferred.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to simplify complex data for non-technical teams.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-growing, fast-paced environment.
Bonus Experience (Preferred)
- Experience in e-commerce, beauty, FMCG, or retail.
- Knowledge of CRM metrics, marketing attribution, and customer segmentation.
- Understanding of forecasting models and predictive analytics.
- Experience working across global markets (U.S., UK, Africa).
