About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Accounting Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting management with timely financial insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reports in accordance with accounting principles.
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable/receivable, and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance tracking.
- Collaborate with auditors and ensure timely completion of audit requirements.
- Maintain compliance with all internal policies and statutory regulations.
- Provide financial insights to management to support business decisions.
- Perform other related accounting and finance duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division.
- ICAN qualification is mandatory (must already be a Chartered Accountant).
- Solid understanding of finance and investment principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
- 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality in managing financial data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
