Klasha is a technology company that builds cross-border commerce solutions for Africa. Klasha Business enables international merchants to accept payments from Africa using African payment methods and currencies, with payouts in hard currencies. B2B African merchants can also send money cross-border to different parts of the world in G20 and hard currencies. Klasha Personal allows consumers in Africa to shop and spend cross-border internationally through an app using African payment methods and currencies.
Klasha is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full Stack Marketing Associate to lead the marketing function on a contract basis. The ideal candidate is a versatile marketer, with a focus on growth, capable of working both independently and as part of a small team in a Seed-stage startup environment. In this role, you will play a crucial role in shaping Klasha’s marketing strategy, brand voice, and customer acquisition efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute Klasha’s marketing roadmap, aligning it with the company’s objectives.
- Brand Development: Craft and maintain the company’s brand voice to ensure effective communication with customers and partners.
- Customer Acquisition: Lead all aspects of growth marketing to drive customer acquisition and engagement.
- Content Development: Collaborate with senior management to position Klasha and create content that supports the sales team.
- Marketing Playbook: Create a comprehensive marketing playbook for the company.
- Employer Branding: Collaborate with the Talent team to build a compelling employer brand.
- Agency and Partner Management: Manage agency relationships and partnerships to maximize marketing efforts.
- Local Market Understanding: Understand and execute marketing strategies tailored to local market conditions.
- Goal Setting and Monitoring: Establish, monitor, and report on marketing team goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Process Automation: Implement and refine internal marketing processes for efficiency.
- Communication: Organize and lead departmental communications to ensure alignment and coordination.
- Consumer Insights: Analyze consumer behavior and develop customer personas.
- Market Analysis: Conduct a market analysis to assess Klasha’s position in an ever-changing environment.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of proven experience in leading a marketing function, preferably in fintech or related domains.
- A well-rounded marketer with a growth mindset, capable of overseeing an omnichannel marketing function.
- Proficiency in demand generation strategies.
- Automation and analytics expertise, with knowledge of relevant tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to make data-driven recommendations.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills to win the trust of external and internal partners.
- High level of determination and tenacity.
