Skills
Core Technical Skills:
- Data Analysis & Visualization: Proficiency in tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel to transform raw data into actionable insights through dashboards and reports.
- SQL & Database Management: Strong ability to query, manipulate, and extract data from relational databases (MySQL).
- Statistical & Analytical Tools: Experience with Power Query, Python (Pandas, NumPy) for data cleaning and analysis.
- Data Cleaning & Validation: Expertise in ensuring data accuracy, handling missing values, and implementing quality checks. Knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Power Automate)
Business & Soft Skills:
- Stakeholder Communication: Ability to translate complex data findings into clear, strategic recommendations for non-technical teams.
- Problem-Solving: A structured approach to identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities from data.
- Process Improvement: Experience documenting workflows and optimizing data collection/reporting processes.
- Collaboration: Comfort working cross-functionally with M&E, Operations, and Leadership to align data with business goals.
Job Description
Data Collection & Transformation:
- Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets from multiple sources, including program applications, surveys, and operational data.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across all platforms.
- Develop automated data pipelines and processes to improve efficiency.
Data Analysis & Insights Generation:
- Analyze complex datasets to uncover trends, correlations, and key performance indicators (KPIs) that inform business strategies.
- Use statistical methods and predictive modeling to support decision-making.
- Perform impact assessments on programs, tracking entrepreneur progress and ecosystem trends.
Data Reporting & Visualization:
- Design and develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel) to communicate insights clearly across all units and functions in the Foundation
- Prepare findings for presentation to senior management, stakeholders, and external partners in an engaging and easy-to-understand manner.
- Develop periodic reports on program performance, funding impact, and operational efficiencies.
Strategic Decision Support:
- Provide data-driven recommendations to enhance programs and policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Communications, Partnerships) to align data insights with organizational objectives.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices in data analytics to continuously improve data strategy.
