Job Description
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join us at INSHUR; we are based in sunny Brighton (sea, chips and seagulls included) and our company embraces a hybrid working model, allowing you to thrive in both collaborative office settings and the comfort of your own home. You’ll have the opportunity to work remotely while also connecting with your colleagues at our Brighton office at least once a week, fostering a dynamic and supportive environment.
You’ll be working on re-inventing insurance in exciting markets across multiple territories including the UK, US and the Netherlands, and new European countries as we expand.
What you’ll do
As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for translating strategic priorities into deliverables by identifying the needs, helping create solutions, and defining requirements in an agile development framework. You will work with various stakeholders inside and outside the organisation to develop a deep understanding of the environment, gather and investigate insights, and design detailed plans and recommendations aiming to maximise business value.
We don’t have a definite checklist of skills – our hiring process is much more about aptitude and passion than ticking boxes. So don’t worry if you’ve not used a particular tool or checked off all the listed skills and experience.
That said, below is a guideline of skills that we think would make you successful in this role.
Requirements
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Thrive on clarifying new feature ideas. Take early-stage concepts and work collaboratively across departments (tech, insurance, finance, customer service) to understand their feasibility and potential value, and identify key factors impacting success
- Have plenty of experience refining value/scope and can clearly articulate and document your analysis and possible options
- Are excellent at using data to make informed, timely decision and recommendations
- Are able to communicate complex ideas in a simple way
- You understand that sometimes what is asked for isn’t the same as what is really needed
- Have a keen eye for detail
- Have plenty of experience in/with Lean / Agile product development environments
- Are passionate about collaboration, teamwork and continuous improvement
- Knowledge of the insurance domain, or a strong willingness to learn
- Thrive in an environment of rapid change
Your colleagues say you:
- Pragmatic and able to think outside the box when dealing with complexity
- A great communicator
- Very proactive and full of initiative
