The Role
We are looking for an Analyst to join our Analytics Chapter, comprised of Analysts and Analytics Engineers. In the role, you’ll work closely with our Commercial, Editorial, Brand, and Partnerships teams. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills, commercial awareness, and an authentic enthusiasm for fashion. You should be detail-focused and naturally curious, yet able to see the bigger picture and link your work to broader company goals. This role is integral to advancing our mission to become the world’s most intelligent fashion platform.
Responsibilities:
- Produce reports on the performance of joint commercial partnerships between Lyst and our retailer partners.
- Provide impact estimates and forecasts for commercial stakeholders based on potential micro and macro market changes.
- Understand the key drivers of our retailer partners’ performances on our platform and how we can create win-win scenarios.
- Assist on our assortment strategy, content-based merchandising, and campaign planning.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators across team initiatives and link them to wider commercial performance.
- Use your broad exposure to our data to help identify opportunities and risks, trends, and recommendations.
- Support our Senior Analysts in conducting analyses into trends driving business performance.
- Work across our Editorial, Brand, and Partnerships teams to support strategic initiatives, continuous reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
- Help these teams make data-driven decisions and empower them with self-serve data where appropriate.
- Collaborate with data peers (other Analysts, Analytics Engineering, etc.) in order to champion our data and enable data consumption across the organisation.
Requirements
- Technically confident with 1+ years of experience writing SQL in a live environment.
- 1+ years of experience working on a productionised dashboarding tool. Looker is preferred, but not essential.
- Strong numerical ability and understanding of e-commerce metrics.
- Ability to derive insights, identify trends, and assess commercial & strategic opportunities/risks from large data sets.
- A knowledge of the fashion industry is a must: genuine interest in fashion trends, brands, and the wider retail environment.
- High standard of written and verbal communication. Ability to articulate complex data problems to non-technical audiences.
- A knowledge of statistics is preferred, but not essential.
