Data & Analytics Analyst at Hayfin Capital Management – London, United Kingdom

An exciting opportunity to join a growing team to assist with automation and private credit analytics while building out & maintaining a high standard of data integrity.

• Work alongside the Portfolio Monitoring team and in collaboration with the technology and investment teams, to understand and improve current workflows. With guidance, implement enhancements to efficiency and accuracy in the portfolio monitoring process.

• Proactively seek creative ways to improve and streamline data collection, storage and extraction while implementing data resiliency checks to maximise accuracy.

• Automate periodic processes by aggregating multiple data sources related to reporting, ratings and portfolio monitoring.

• Write and maintain Python scripts, while adhering to best practice coding hygiene, to streamline data collection, validation, and processing for regular and ad hoc reporting

• Assist in designing, building and maintaining dashboards, reports and analytics tools to support portfolio monitoring and decision-making within the private credit team.

• Ensure all processes and code are well-documented for future reference and scalability.

• Proficiency with Python and SQL

• Experience working with databases and comfortable handling large data sets

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills together with a passion for improving processes

• Meticulous with a strong focus on attention to detail

• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
• Interest in financial services and an interest in learning more about private credit

Desirable: 

• Experience with dashboarding tools (Power BI, Qlik or similar);

• knowledge of cloud-based platforms (Databricks, Microsoft Fabric)
