Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Analyst to join our team and play a central role in expanding ReportStream’s capabilities. Your efforts will focus on incorporating additional reportable conditions into the platform, ensuring it becomes more comprehensive, configurable, and efficient. You will collaborate directly with healthcare providers, public health agencies, and our engineering teams to refine data processes and enhance platform functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with healthcare organizations to understand and map their data reporting workflows.
  • Develop detailed workflow blueprints, create test scenarios, and compile user stories to guide system enhancements.
  • Outline and define the expected data inputs/outputs and manage the necessary data transformations for seamless integration into the platform.
  • Serve as a technical expert on HL7 standards, advising on best practices for data integration and translation.
  • Engage with non-technical stakeholders to translate complex solutions into understandable terms.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of robust data handling protocols, ensuring scalability and adaptability of the platform.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the healthcare or public health sectors.
  • Proven expertise in HL7 standards and familiarity with healthcare data workflows.
  • Strong capability in SQL for data querying and analysis.
  • Proficient in using business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Metabase for data visualization and dashboard creation.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of bridging the gap between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and navigate fast-paced, resource-constrained environments effectively.
  • U.S. Citizenship, Green Card, or EAD required.
  • Must be able to meet any other requirements for government contracts for which they are hired (e.g., must reside in the U.S.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in public health departments or government agencies.
  • Knowledge of FHIR data standards and APIs.
  • Experience in a cross-functional team environment, effectively collaborating with engineers, designers, and product managers.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt, be empathetic, collaborate, and maintain a positive attitude.
