At the heart of our business is our engineering team, who are responsible for building intuitive, revolutionary experiences for both our customers and internal teams. We’re now looking for an experienced Frontend Engineering Lead to take charge of our frontend engineering efforts and help shape the future of GoLemon.
What the job looks like
As the Lead Frontend Engineer at GoLemon, you will guide a team of exciting engineers working on innovative projects, including React Native mobile apps, web applications, and progressive web apps. You’ll shape the frontend architecture, influence structure, bring efficiency, and innovation to how we work, ensuring we maintain our high standards as we scale.
The ideal candidate is an emerging leader with an ownership record of building frontend systems, combined with expertise in modern frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Next.js. They also enjoy building useful experiences, is motivated to learn, grow, and drive impact.
Your responsibilities will include:
Architect and Innovate
- Design and maintain scalable, maintainable frontend architectures.
- Define tooling and establish engineering best practices to ensure consistent and efficient development.
Feature Development
- Deliver engaging, user-friendly interfaces that transform design concepts into pixel-perfect, mobile-responsive applications.
Team Leadership
- Mentor, coach, and provide technical guidance to a team of frontend engineers.
- Oversee project timelines, assign tasks, and conduct performance reviews for team members.
Collaboration
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including backend engineers, designers, and product managers, to define technical solutions and align on feature requirements.
Quality Assurance
- Uphold high coding standards by implementing clean architecture principles, code reviews, and robust testing practices.
Optimize and Maintain
- Proactively monitor performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements for seamless frontend performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, ensuring stability and reliability in production.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay ahead of the curve by researching and adopting the latest tools, frameworks, and technologies.
Your experience & what it takes to succeed at this role
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience building high-quality frontend applications.
- Up to 2 years of experience leading and mentoring engineers.
- Proven expertise with React Native for building mobile applications.
- Experience creating pixel-perfect, responsive designs with tools like Tailwind CSS.
- In-depth knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and functional programming paradigms.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in at least two modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js, Vue.js).
- Expertise in state management tools such as Redux, Zustand, or MobX.
- Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end).
- Familiarity with frontend architectural patterns (e.g., MVC, MVVM) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Basic understanding of backend architecture and deployment strategies.
General Skills
- A problem-solving mindset with the curiosity and drive to push technical boundaries.
- Strong mentorship skills to foster team collaboration and growth.
- Can communicate in a clear and helpful manner, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
