Senior Analyst, Programmes / Governance at Workforce Group – Oyo State, Nigeria

Job Description

Our client seeks a dynamic and highly motivated professional to join the team as a Senior Analyst of programmes/Governance. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving the success of our regional development initiatives, supporting the Head of Programmes in the design, development, and execution of strategic program plans.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist in the supervision, design, and execution of the Commission’s programmes and projects.

• Coordinate and manage the Commission’s programme and project monitoring and evaluation strategy for effective project performance.

• Coordinate the Commission’s yearly programme planning activities, including work plan and result framework development.

• Assist in the coordination of the Commission’s knowledge management system.

• Facilitate partnership engagement with development partners/donor agencies and other stakeholders for resource mobilization.

• Provide technical insight and support to project teams towards the attainment of set goals.

• Conduct periodic political economy and implementation risk analysis.

• Produce programmes and project execution briefs to the Director General, capturing performance variance and updates.

• Participate in the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and program evaluation frameworks.

• Contribute to the assessment of program impact and identify areas for improvement.

• Contribute to the preparation of grant proposals, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and donor requirements.

• Identify and pursue new funding opportunities to support program expansion.

The Ideal Candidate Must Have:

• Ph.D/Master’s degree in a relevant field (International Development, Public Administration, Political Science).

• 5-8 years of proven experience in program coordination or related roles.

• Cognitive knowledge of Nigerian socio-economic/development terrain.

• Knowledge of the Nigerian Public sector.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.

• Knowledge of the Nigerian Governance system or process and Southwest Region

• Networking skills/Connection with Donor Agencies

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to travel within and outside Oyo State upon short notice.
