Job Description
Fengate is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Infrastructure Funds financial reporting team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance, Infrastructure Funds the individual will be responsible for investor reporting, tax, treasury, and compliance, Fengate’s infrastructure funds. This role will interact closely with the project teams, the fund administrator, investor relations team, tax team and external investors. The role offers the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of infrastructure private equity funds.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with manager to provide oversight and guidance to the fund’s external administrator to ensure completeness and accuracy of accounting records and financial reporting
- Responsible for overseeing capital activity (i.e., capital calls and distributions) and treasury functions; perform detailed review of notices and other investor communications prepared by the fund’s administrator
- Manage the fund’s day-to-day financial operations, ensuring compliance with governing fund documents and credit facilities
- Collaborate with the investor relations team to respond to investor requests and assist with fundraising initiatives
- Liaise with tax team and advisors to oversee tax filings and compliance with tax authorities in the U.S. and Canada
- Other ad-hoc financial analysis to support the infrastructure business unit and the broader Fengate team (i.e., asset management, legal, investments, etc.)
- Contribute new ideas to develop best in class processes and procedures
- Assist in preparation of quarterly investor and management reports and presentations
Requirements
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
This position offers an opportunity for growth within the Fengate organization. To qualify, candidates must have:
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, or other relevant technical discipline with minimum of 3 years of experience
- CPA designation is an asset
- Experience with private equity funds is an asset
- High attention to detail
- Self-motivated and proactive, with respect to both managing workload and professional development
- Excellent analytical, and problem-solving ability
- Exceptional quality standards and an ongoing desire to push for new approaches, insights, and presentation methods
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills – financial modelling experience/training would be an asset
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with strict deadlines as a part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
