Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening for a Catalog Content Analyst with a strong data or admin background, the ability to review large amounts of content in meticulous detail, and extensive food/beverage or eCommerce content industry knowledge to place at our client, a major eCommerce Marketplace.

Team Focus:

  • The Selection and Quality Operations team oversees the content and quality of a large Grocery eCommerce platform and their online catalog. They focus on maintaining standards for high-quality catalog data and working with brands and content providers to source data.

Job Description:

  • As a Catalog Content Administrator, you will join the Selection and Quality Operations team to help curate and label high-quality catalog data through various projects and ad-hoc requests. This will include:
  • Data labeling and data annotation projects to improve catalog quality.
  • Example: Verify the quality of attributes (e.g. organic) through investigating various data points (e.g. image, external websites) to ensure we have high quality for these attributes
  • Review results for data quality workflows to assess product attribute accuracy.
  • Example: Review results for the brand workflow to standardize different variations of brands into the correct brand using internal/external research. This involves reviewing if the vendor’s answers are correct and conducting external/internal research to validate the correct answer.
  • Manage LLM prompts to ensure high-quality output by auditing data, leveraging feedback, and iteratively improving prompts for catalog-related workflows.

Key Qualifications:

  • Data curation, data labeling, and data annotation
  • Detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working with large data sets with experience in auditing and QA
  • Experience managing and refining LLM prompts or workflows with iterative feedback
  • Familiarity with natural language processing tools or AI-aligned workflows is a plus
  • Able to juggle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Excel experience and exposure to Excel commands is a plus
  • Basic knowledge with SQL and other programming languages an asset
  • Able to learn new internal tools and processes quickly
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Works independently and is proactive/resourceful
  • Team player and can collaborate with a team
  • Strong communication skills(verbal + written)
