Job Description

We are offering a 6-month Contract opportunity for a Senior Credit Analyst. Potential for contract extension / permanent opportunity.

As a Senior Credit Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our credit underwriting process, utilizing your extensive knowledge and experience in banking. You will be leading other analysts and will be the primary point of contact in dealing with regulatory bodies, ensuring they comprehend our risk appetite and rating.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct extensive credit underwriting procedures.
  • Lead other analysts and provide managerial support.
  • Utilize your experience in banking to improve our processes.
  • Review loan files to ensure compliance, maintain the Bank’s lending policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with regulatory bodies to ensure they understand our risk appetite and rating.
  • Use your language skills to enhance communication within the team and with clients.
  • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
  • Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate customer credit records.
  • Resolve customer inquiries professionally and promptly.

Requirements

  •  Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • CFA or CPA designation is preferred
  • At least five years of experience in a credit analyst role in Canadian banks, preferably in sectors such as real estate, mining and energy, transportation, wholesale or syndicated loan.
  • Proficiency in Credit Underwriting
  • Advanced understanding of financial analysis and risk assessment
