Job Description

Our client is seeking to hire a Category Manager who will drive category performance through strategic buying, data analysis, and inventory optimization. The role involves managing end-to-end product flow, vendor relationships, and performance reporting to ensure profitability, stock accuracy, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Category & Inventory Management

  • Analyze inventory and sales data to identify stock gaps, trends, and category performance opportunities.
  • Manage distribution and movement of new and existing products across stores to ensure optimal stock levels
  • Oversee product creation, pricing accuracy, and system updates.
  • Supervise purchase order management from quotation to warehouse delivery, ensuring timeliness and accuracy

Vendor & Procurement Management

  • Liaise with local and international vendors on product orders, pricing, and shipment tracking.
  • Address variances and ensure procurement aligns with business needs and OTB (Open-to-Buy) targets.

Sales & Performance Analysis

  • Conduct category performance analysis and provide insights to improve profitability and growth
  • Develop and maintain business dashboards and reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Track “must-have” assortments and ensure continuous product availability in line with consumer demand.

Reporting & Business Support

  • Support the preparation of key reports, including global Inventory Report, sales Tracking Report
  • Support annual Product Needs / Open-to-Buy Report, own Label Report, product performance and Ad Hoc reports
  • Support the execution of product lifecycle campaigns and commercial initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Business Management, Analytics, or any related fields.
  • 6 months – 1 year of experience in business or finance analysis roles
  • Strong understanding of data analysis, Power BI, SQL.
  • Excellent attention to details, analytical skills and presentation skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
