About the Role:

Our client is looking for a Verification Analyst who would be responsible for conducting end-to-end background checks across employment, academic, criminal, address, and reference categories. The ideal candidate must have solid experience in verification processes and strong existing contacts within higher institutions to speed up academic confirmation and reduce turnaround times.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive background checks including education, employment, criminal records, address verification, and reference checks.
• Liaise with universities, polytechnics, professional bodies, and other institutions for academic verification (must have established contacts in key schools).
• Reach out to previous employers, HR departments, and referees via phone, email, and official portals.
• Compile accurate, clear, and well-structured verification reports within agreed timelines.
• Investigate discrepancies, identify red flags, and escalate issues appropriately.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and data protection standards.
• Track verification progress and update internal systems in real time.

  Requirements  

• BSc/HND in any field.
• 1–2 years relevant experience in background verification or a similar investigative role.
• Proven working relationships/contacts with multiple higher institutions (universities, polytechnics).
• Excellent communication skills (spoken and written).
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Benefits

• Salary: ₦200,000–₦250,000 monthly.
