Busha was established in 2018 as a digital currency exchange platform where consumers and merchants can trade digital currencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. We are seeking a highly skilled legal professional to join our expanding legal team. As a vital member of the team, you will be responsible for reviewing, interpreting, and communicating legal requirements to both internal and external stakeholders. This presents an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced and diverse environment.

Your duties may also include training new employees and maintaining open communication with other departments during your day.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and support to senior management on relevant legal matters.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, statutory regulations, and other formalities.
  • Assess and manage risks in business processes and decision-making.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, statements, and agreements.
  • Collaborate with executive officers and chief legal counsel in implementing legal strategies and standards.
  • Advice on complex legal concerns.
  • Work alongside external lawyers to evaluate legal issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant areas of law and contribute to the company’s legal knowledge base.

The ideal candidate must have;

  • A minimum of 3-4 years of experience working in-house or externally in a legal capacity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law with a Call to the Nigerian Bar.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Working knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
