Business Analyst

We’re currently recruiting a Business Analyst at Sizewell B Power Station for our Business Improvement team. If you’re looking for a role that can make a key difference to our station’s success and you want to make a real impact, this role might just be for you!

The opportunity

Within the Commercial department, we’re looking for you to join our highly motivated and multi-skilled team. You’ll be responsible for trending, analysing and reporting on event data, metrics and processes across the power station. This will include eliciting requirements, reviewing existing ways of working and designing new and improved trends to inform decision making across the power station.

In addition to a salary ranging from £40,069 – £71,779, we offer a company pension scheme, annual salary reviews and a generous holiday allowance. During periods of shutdowns and critical work programmes, it may be necessary to work additional hours where a comprehensive agreement is in place to cover any excess hours worked.

What you’ll be doing

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering data, performing analysis and documenting trends based on our event data, metrics and processes
  • Mapping best practices to station processes to inform improvement areas
  • Preparing analytical reports for our governance meetings and working with our stakeholders to inform required improvement and direction
  • Preparing analytical reports from our task observation and coaching database
  • Conducting meetings and presentations to share plans and findings
  • Supporting monthly and annual metric assimilation, submission and presentation.

Who you are

The minimum qualification for this role is HNC (or level 4 equivalent qualification) in a relevant discipline and it may be advantageous if you hold a relevant degree.

You will have/will be:

  • An exceptional understanding of, or experience of using, business analytical skills
  • Able to work closely with stakeholders to determine acceptable solutions
  • An understanding of organizational learning, performance improvement and business planning processes
  • Able to give self-direction and work autonomously
  • Competency in Microsoft applications and Business objects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
